I got a 97 hatch with a H22a swap, and i just took it for emission testing. I was rejected because there was no power to the obd2 plug. I got that fixed by fixing the cig lighter. and i also fixed the dome light. anddd the beeping for when doors open with key in ignition.

So i go back to get it tested again. And now they said its got power to the obd sensor. but now theyre saying that its unresponsive. thats all they would tell me without a check up which would cost me 90 bucks.

All i can think of is a fucked up wire in the back of the obd plug? or that I would need a whole new obd plug?

Any help on how to fix this problem?? thanks

stock ecu. all stock motor, except for dc headers. whale ***** intake. noname brand full exhaust. and omni 70mm throttle body.

wait... its a monotech 909 ecu.

I think you have an OBD1 ECU, which will not communicate with an OBD2 port.

is there an adapter or something that i can get to get the scanner to communicate w the ecu?

The only way for your OBD2 port to communicate with your ECU is to install an OBD2 ECU.

Hmm what would u reccomend i go with?
Im thinking between p13 or p72? or do u have any other choices?
