h22a 95 civic coupe engine harness question
Ok so I traded for the civic coupe just to find out the **** jockey who owned it before me ran it out of oil and drove it like that for a lil bit before putting oil in it. Got the car, few mile later, hellacious knocking. Spun bearings....ugh. So instead of putting another H22A in, I want to go with a blue top F20B. Question is what do i need to do to the wiring harness to make the F20B work? I know i need to convert it to OBD1. So.....2 wire IACV and OBD1 dizzy. Luckily the civic came with a p13 and p28. Also, if that's too impractical, what about putting a D-series back in? Need to get it running asap but I really dont feel like dropping 1100 or more if i can avoid it. Have mercy on my stupidity and lend me your knowledge please.

Re: h22a 95 civic coupe engine harness question
Once a car's been H-swapped going D/B-series is a pain in the *** since the passenger's side transmission mount that's welded to the frame rail has to be cut when using an H/F transmission. When swapping back to stock you have to drill out all the spot welds and replace that mount. Depending on who did the swap and how much they cut out around the shifter you might be missing the 2 welded nuts that a D/B-series shifter bolts to. H/F engines are cheap enough that I really wouldn't think about a D-series. IIRC F20B blue top doesn't really require much if any rewiring.

Doubt it. The F/H motors were set-up basically the same way. It would be like making a D series harness work on a B series. Most everything is in the same place.
