I have to agree with advan, they are all pos's, but the H is one of the worst. for reliability, probably because the synchro's hate high rpms. Other than that, the gearing is shitty (longer 1-4, but 5th is nice and short ), and its cable shift (more mis-shifts).

They are no tougher than B series tranny's IMO. I think people prefer the options the B's offer over the H series more than anything. The points I have heard against them are:
a) weight
b) size (swap fitment issues)
c) cable shifter not as crisp as the linkage found in b series causing shifting problems like grinds and miss-shifts, often assumed to be mechanical problems like syncro's etc (but it really matters on the driver more than anything IMO)

PS. I am biased against most B's period, they can lick my nuts. 1.X gutless liters , they need the short gears of their transmissions..

i've had the ACT 4puck aka tranny killer in my car for a long time now and my tranny is still in decent condition...

my other car w/ a b16sir trans is hurtin from just a six puck...

personally i dont think they are "weak" at all, i think its quite the opposite, but it is known that the gearing on b's is more beneficial and people who use them have alot more support when they wanna change the ratios
