h22 swap running like poo poo
just finished the h22 swap in my car and im using a chipped p28 with jdmsh!T h22 chip...but my car is running like ****, it feels like its slower then my old single vtec i dont know if i chipped the ecu wrong or anything but i have no clue why its running like this, this is by no means to put down the chip. My car feels like it has no power at all ive checked the ignition timing and moved it all around to see if it would do anybody but no luck, could it be that my cam timing is off? its a 2000 prelude type sh motor in my 92 hatch. I also converted the external coil distributor to a brand new obd1 jdm internal distributor

Re: h22 swap running like poo poo (xerox445)
how about a better discription of the problem rather than "running like ****".... Are all the cylinders firing, is it bogging, hows the idle etc... Check TDC and make sure everything lines up, YOu probably jumped some teeth on the timing belt or are running on 2 cylinders

Re: h22 swap running like poo poo (toolowsol)
I had a similar problem with my swap aat first with my chipped ecu, took a few wks of driving to work itself out. i dont know if that helps you but when i did mine i just left it for a week to see if it was doing "learn" process and sure enough it fixed itself.

i mentioned that my distributor was brand new, and the only code im throwing is code 14 for the iacv but my idle isnt really fluctuating at all, its been doing this for about a week or so

Re: (Vp Special K)
anybody have any idea how it would jump a couple of teeth if the engine is stock and never taken apart? ive taken it to a couple of local shops and all they can do is tell me theyll call me back but they end up never calling so i dont know, oo yea i checked all my wires about 3 times and even used a test light to make sure if power was getting to them
