Default h22 swap for an ej6 coupe? any advice is appreciated

Im doing a swap in a month to a month and a half but now that ive seen posts complaining about the suspension with h22 handling in mtns and on a track i dont know what i should get now...Im not a straight line person who likes to drag.. Im a mountain guy with track days occasionally, want to keep it less than 3 k swap , and handles well. I have rear upper strut bar, b pillar, coilovers, rear control arms, rear lower tie bar, and camber kit.

ls motor and build it?
H22 and just have that?
b16 ? But its so typical and not that much torque?
GSR is overpriced?
K series out of price range..

What advice does anyone have? People with motors or have had these please give me advice before i waste my money on something i hate.
