That guide looks kinda iffy. I love the h22a in my prelude lol. but a h22a in a civic is a lot more work than a b18c5. But ya gotta love the torque

Actually, I know the author, Nathan Morris. I bought the Accord guide for the H22 and moderated his forum for awhile. If you can't figure something out in the guide, he will answer any questions you have. Great guy.

Re: h22 swap (fizix_skate)
well im buyin the guide because basically i need step by step instructions because i have pretty much no experience at all workin on my car. and its only 40 bucks.
basically the main thing thats worrying me is the wiring. im swappin an obd2 h22 into my obd2 97 ex, so i wont have to convert to obd1. main question is will i still be able to follow the guide that deals w/ obd1 h22 and EG civic? because i would think that the chassis for a EG is very similar to an EK, and that there wouldnt be that much difference from a 92-96 h22 to a 97-01.. i hope.

Your lucky you got a OBD2 H22. That will make the swap alot easier.
No re-wiring (aside from injector clips and distributor wires). No ECU Jumper (unless your going from OBD2A to OBD2B). No v-tec wiring.
Just make sure you keep the wiring harness on the H22. You have no reason to take it off and forget where which plug goes.
The swap isn't hard at all really. I found it easiest to jack the car up pretty high, slide the motor under the car, lower the car, then hook the motor up to a engine lift while it's under the engine bay. This will let you maneuver the engine much easier than just lowering the car onto it.
You also need to make sure you get the shift linkage where it needs to be before you bolt up the motor. That cable linkage isn't fun to navigate behind that rear motor mount.
The manual may help you some, but I personally wouldn't pay $40 for nowledge you can find on here (especially since the wiring part for you will be very minimal).
