H22 Oil Leak, can't figure out. Help!
Developed an oil leak on my JDM H22A after rev'ing it in neutral while sitting in the shop.
It 'appears' to be coming from the rubber hose running vertically in the middle of the picture, near the clamp. However, that is a coolant hose. You can see it forming a drip.
I can't tell where it is coming from. Any hints?

No leaks coming from valve cover.
Would hate to think it's the headgasket, but the car still runs great, no CEL's, no coolant loss. Plus, would the headgasket cause it to leak oil?

i would say since the engine itself looks pretty dirty, clean it off with some simple green or some other product. that way when it's clean, you can spot the oil leak a little easier.

as he said.. clean the engine bay with your preferred cleaner
its hard to spot a leak when everything is already covered in oil
(think of it like that lil game they made u play as a kid in school.. where one person claps their hand or snaps their finger then everyone else has to do it right away.. its not easy finding who starts it when everyone is all doing the same)
hope that makes ya assured on cleaning it
once cleaned run the engine at idle and inspect the engine bay
there are no hoses carrying oil unless ur turbo'in.. so start with the head gasket.. valve cover... ur block wont be cracked otherwise ud be leaking coolant...
just hope its the valve cover and not the HG..

its hard to tell becuase its all dirty. from what i see could be coming from the valve cover gasket or from the intake manifold gasket. good luck on your search
