H22 hatch
Ok so I went to go see this 93 h22 civic si hatch. The body needs some work, the engine was clean, and purd like a kitten. Body has 148,000km and engine has 100,000 with recipt. Here is the problem, the linkage, For the linkage there are 2 cables, the cable on the left was hooked up fine, but the cable on the right which moves the shifter up and down was jerry rigged. It seemed as if it did not have the bracked to where it should be connected. So it had a plastic mecanism with the cable going through it and it was clamped down with 2 straps. It shifed fine into each gear, but 3rd was harder to get into. Any help on what should be done? any help.

what are you asking really? the H22 has shifter cables and connects to a plastic base where the shifter is located.

Where the cables come through the floor, they are both going through plastic bushings, which are in the bracket. The cable on the righ the little bushing is not in that metal bracket. it is infront of the bracket, strapped down. This affects it to go into 3rd gear properlly. What wold I need to fix it a new shifter assembly? if so how much are they?

Re: (Burgiop)
It's been my experience if somone jerry riggs one thing you can almost bet something else wasn't done right either. Esp. in swaps, etc. I realize that has nothing to do with your techincal question, I'm just sayin'.
