Default h22 or h23

im close to buying a new engine for my civic and was wondering which engine has a higher HP and TQ output, the h22a vtec or the h23 vtec [one with the blue top.]

i read something about the h23's tendency to blow but i am just looking at which one is better... any advice?

put in a little extra for the B18c5. b-series, a few lb lighter, better clearance, no need to hack for a/c, rod shifter, shorter gears, blah blah....

btw: this opinion is from a h22 hatch owner
