No need to cut the firewall. You'll need this

Funny cut the firwall! No you will need to cut the passenger side mount support and a larger hole for the shift linkage; other than that with the proper mount kit it drops right in.
Sorry didnt rad it was a Ek thought it was a Eg havnt done one of those yet but i know fur sur eyou will not need to cut the firewall

the only firewall cutting will be for the accord shifter

The new K-series shifter kit runs it under the car. Looks nice.

i have a EG with an h22 in it. you don't have to cut the firewall. i know to swap the h22 into an EG, you have to remove the passenger side top tranny mount. i don't
know about the EK. i'm pretty sure the OEM mount brackets can be used with aftermarket motor mounts. in my opinion, its a good swap to do, but i'm sure other people beg to differ.

place racing makes a shifter box that replaces the base of the accord/lude shifter and allows the cables to run under the car just like the K series box. You will have to cut the passenger's side mount like everyone has said, and you'll need to decide if you want to cut a hole under your center console, or in the firewall. You have to do one of the 2.

it trips me out people still dont kno about the h-swap in the hatches...i was talking to this guy a year ago, when some other dude came up and told us you had to cut all kinds of crap to put the motor in....??? wtf...i said no, dont think so, i have one...put in by me and a friend back in 2001-----

fyi...no cutting except for shifter in the ek's...fyi to anyone doing it in an ek...be sure to reinforce the passenger side mount "if" you are gonna make good power...mine broke and my motor dropped, sending me powerless to the side of the road cuz my axle popped out

You have to cut out in front of the shifter on all Civics and Integras.
