Default h22 eg with jdm headlights?

i have a 93 civic with the h22 swap, and i have just purchased a set of jdm headlights. but i have a problem. the headlight on the drivers side won't fit because the jdm lights sit further into the engine bay. it hits the alternator pulley. is there any of you guys running jdm headlights with the h22 swap. please help with some info. pics would also be great.

Let's be honest: you're just whoring out some pics of your badass car

Seriously. That's sick .

Also, I have no idea how to fix the problem, haha. Sorry.

i've heard that the altenator his the back of the JDM light b/c its shaped differently. this topic has been covered b4, and i believe they just trimmed away some of the headlight housing and sealed it back up

yea, but you could shave to much and be stuck with a busted headlight.

my best time so far is a 14.0 @ 103. that was as it is in the picture, with full interior, and street tires. it spins all the way. even when i put it in 4th gear at the end of the traps. OH WELL. any more ideas on the headlights. i need about a 1 1/2 inches to be able to get the light in, yea it hits the alternator like hell!! HELP!

Why not get a shorter belt so it pulls the alternator back farther?

getting a shorter belt will not solve the problem you can only shave the some of the headlight thats in the way...

if you do a b20 vtec you will end up with a little more hp than an h22, but if you want something reliable and lots of hp go with the h. for the stock swap hp,tq and reliablility i don't think you can beat it. my 2 cents.

i can't move the alternator enough to get the headlight in. i may have to end up cuting the corner of the headlight, but i am wanting some info. from someone who has done this with this swap. i know i am not the only one that has ever had a h22 civic and wanted to put some jdm headlights in. help, anyone !!!!!!!!!
