h22 ecu question

Default h22 ecu question

i have a 92 dx hatch with a jdm h22 everything is but wiring my car is at a shop getting the wiring done. but they told me i have to use a p-28 ecu instsead of the p-13 why is that. and what ecu are you guys with this swap using.

They told you that you need a chipped P28 because it's less wiring for them to do. With the chipped P28, they don't need to wire up a knock sensor, IABs, or EGR. When you don't wire those up, and you run with a chipped P28, you lose a lot of mid-range power and torque. With all of those wired up (EGR doesn't have any effect on performance) and using a P13, then it'll be smooth throughout the entire power band. Unless you get a P28 w/Hondata S100 and something like the Type S maps on your ECU (like we run on our H22 Civics), then stick with a P13 for best all around power.

so how hard would it be to run the knock sensor wire and the other wires
