H22 Delsol
Anyone know of any delsols with an H22. Rumor around AZ is that the only guy with one runs high 14s because of no traction. Im looking at buying one, but need to know if its going to be a waste.
I plan on building my Sol to race in Imporved Touring class in SCCA. I might buy a HB instead though. Suggestions?

Re: H22 Delsol (beandip)
The del Sol chassis and "EG" Civic chassis share the same platform, so whatever you can do to a Civic you can do to a del Sol. Search for B18C5 vs H22 and see what happened.
I feel that you can 'make' any car fast, but IMO to optimize for performance with easiest drop in and least installation issues, go with a B18C5, perhaps FI'd........
It all depends what you want to do with the car. Period. I don't know the rules and regulations of SCCA Improved Touring, so I can't comment on that.

Re: H22 Delsol (SILINITY16)
You will get better responses to your questions in the hybrid forum. Good luck on the H22 though. B18C5 is your friend. Best choice IMO. Continue to get more opinions and I'm sure they'll agree on getting the C5 rather than H22.

Re: H22 Delsol (stevecockrill)
from seeing how me friends eg h22 responds, i'd really advise against it. the steering is totally off after that heavy motor goes into it. its great as a drag motor though. b18c5 all the way. if you have no money then try a ls/v-tec set up, but make sure it is set up correctly with all the lines and stuff to make it more reliable.
