Bottom line: Best header for an H22A in an EG. Period. Buy it if you're serious.

I'm currently running the header , The header truelly gave nice power throughout powerbands. A bitch to get on and it hangs low, prolly about 1"-1 1/2 " under the oil pan. If your running 15's dont even think about it. I have my car jacked up high and I still hit bumps in the road. I'm thinking about making a skid plate . The I.E. header also rattles like a **** and could of been a better design.

I think that might be a bit of a stretch. "Serious" headers don't have formed collectors, and the build quality appears to leave a bit to be desired. For the money, I'm sure it isn't a bad option, but there are better pieces out there.

I'm sure someone makes a better header for an H22A in a Prelude, but with the fitment issues and all, and this header being specifically made for an H22A EG, this is the best job-specific header you can buy for your swapped setup. It makes hellish power over the DC unit throughout the powerband, it looks pretty good and the clearance is nice.

I do agree that it could be manufactured a little nicer, but power is power and I can't argue with a dyno sheet .

True. I'd be interested to see a back-to-back done with SMSP's H22 header. His was dynoed a while ago on a H22A4, and made ~206 whp with relatively few mods (the header was tested "open", but otherwise the engine had basics bolt-ons and only a FPR for fuel tuning). While his H22 header isn't designed specifically for this hybrid application, my understanding from his posts is that it does fit, and his quality is second-to-none. Of course, it's more expensive, but the pricing he indicated at that time was for a stainless piece with a complete bolt-up collector flange and merge collectors throughout. Again though, if the gains from the IE unit are accurately represented by their dyno graph, it is a good performer for the money.
