h22 in civic
guys i bought H22 JDM engine, it's only a engine. could you tell me what other parts would i need to swap this engine in civic. which would be better use civic transmission or i should change transmission too? thank you very much

The D-series transmission that's already in the civic won't bolt up to an H series motor unless you get an H/F to D adapter plate (which I'm not even sure are on public market yet?) - Since that plate is 1k extra, I'd just leave the regular H trans on it.
With that said, go to hasport or avid, buy the H22 to EG or EK (whatever you have), and then it's pretty damn plug 'n play. You have to wire up a resistor box so the injectors are in check (not too many wires, pretty easy), wire up the IAB's, and some other small wiring ****, but it's no harder than a GSR swap IMO besides the resistor box (which is like a 3 hour project if you've never done it before).
H22 swaps used to be full fab - now they're full plug 'n play thanks to companies like hasport and avid.

A D series or B series won't plug onto that. The cheapest you're probably gonna get your hands on an H2B adapter plate is about 7 or 800 - not including the transmission itself (which for a B series transmission is like 700 bucks). On the flipside, I'm not sure if the H2D is even marketed yet or it's still in testing stages.
So I'd go with the H22 transmission, but even that's expensive, a less expensive option might be the F22 or F23 transmissions, they'll cost less, but they're longer..so your acceleration might not be as great..they'll bolt right up to the H22 with the same mounts 'n all. ****, even an H23 trans would be cheaper.

If you have the motor then you would need: motor mounts, tranny, wire harness, ECU, Prelude shift linkage, and Prelude axcles to complete the swap.

prelude axles wont work, you can use the prelude intermediate shaft, but u have to use integra outers, also you can use the accord shift linkage which is a whole lot easier to find
