Default h22 balance shaft

i read people take off the balance shaft on h22 motors why is that i havent found a answer

yea but he is asking why they do it. whats the purpose of it? is there any gain to it?

free's up parasitic drag, increase's hp (believe it or not, it's your opinion, but i believe there have been dyno graphs prving it does help), and if you do it the correct way, you can increase your oil pressure.

there is a guy on here that sells a billet removal kit that plugs the oil holes. i have them removed in my motor with the kit. 300 miles so far no problems

you can just remove the belt and you will lose the parasitic drag on the motor, or you can buy the block-off kit and completely remove the balance shafts from the engine and save ~8 lbs from the motor's weight. You will see an increase in engine vibration when disabling them.
