H22 or B18C5 in a 92-95 EG. why?
H22 or B18C5 in a 92-95. why?
the only thing im worried about is the weight on the h22. i wouldnt want the car to be top heavy. i would like a car that is quick but also having effective handling.
this is something ive been thinking about doing. not sure yet. just questions for now.
thanks.
*sorry if this is a noob post*

b18c5 - 200hp 134lb/ft torque - $4000-5000
h22a - 200hp 161lb/ft torque - $2000-3000
somebody did a post about the weight difference of the engines a while ago. i think the h22 is only 30lbs more or something like that. it doesnt weigh as much as everybody thinks it does.

the weight is not that much more. Relocate the battery and get a CF hood. Drop PS and A/C.. Many combinations will even out the weight. If you like revs go for a B, if you want what Honda calls "torque" go with the H. B-Series respond better to mods, but H's have more displacement to start off with. Also the price of the swap must be taken into consideration; as well as time and effort. The H is harder to get in obviously.
