b16 would be easier to do the swap and yea u can find parts fairly easy, and i think with the h22 u gotta smash in part of ur frame to make room for it lol

the motor leans back a little for hood clearance. But you get a much bigger engine.

Re: h22 or b16?
so a h22 with a b16 tranny huh?
worth it? expensive?
well i can't afford it either way lol.
im guessing that the b16 is the way to go unless any h22 fans got any opinions?

B16, theres very few parts for an H22 and its not worth the money. Ive got a friend with an H22 and i see no point in it because GSR civics hang right with it

Re: h22 or b16?
ok i think im getting a b16
a big reason is because i can get the motor and tranny for under a grand all together. and i the swap is going to be easier from what i hear.
as for the boosted D, i got a d16y5. If I were to boost, wouldn't it be smart to get the y8 first? That costs more money too.

Re: h22 or b16?
yeah i was actually thinking boosting about a 2 months ago, but the reason I want the b16 is because im getting the engine and tranny for 800. Runs good still. but its coming out of a DA. Don't know how much money it would cost to put it in my EJ.

Re: h22 or b16?
The h22 is what i would go with, it is really easy to put into the car. I have one in my 97 civic and i love it. You don't have to do any smashing anywhere under the hood to drop the motor in. The only thing you have to do that is a pain in the *** if you don't have any experience with is the wiring. For the most part you can use your original wiring harness, you will have to extend it and add a few connections. That is really about it. H22 all the way dude.
