H emblems on 97 hatch
Sorry to ask in here...but I figured it would be the best place seeing as some of you may have the same car as me . Im planning on taking off my H emblems (front and rear) and repainting them either black, bronze or gunmetal. I was also planning to paint my hubcaps (Im poor right now) the same color as I painted the emblems. I just wanted to know what kind of paint to use and if I would be able to get the emblems back on(I know the DX and the Civic emblems were held on with double sided tape stuff)? Thanks guys, and yes I did try a search first.

if you paint your hubcaps, your user rating will drop to 0%
if you post pics of your painted hubcaps, your account will be deleted, and you will no longer be able to post here.

Painted emblems, now that might be interesting. Painted hubcaps? Just take the damn things off. BUT, just my (honest) opinion.

Re: H emblems on 97 hatch (CX-HB)
i guess i will answer ur question sense no one else did...if u really have ur heart set on painting ur hubs this is what u do...get soke 400 grit snad paper some primer, what ever color u want and some clear coat. first make sure its clean..then sand them down real good..hit them with two coats of primer, like 5coats of color and 5 of clear u should be good to go......and by the way...i would rather stay poor and keep a stock car then have painted hubs. just my opinon

mmmk....I think Ill take you guys opinions about not paintin the hubs, Im rolling on steelies right now (took the hubs off the day i bought the car). I'm not gunna paint en just because I like being able to post here . Now about the emblems.....I konw the Civic and the DX emblem are just held on by like glue/tape stuff. If i pull off the H emblems am I going to be able to get them back on ???? And will it leave holes if i decide not to put them back on???

When you yank the H emblems off there are gonna be holes left behind . As for reattaching them to the body after you paint them , you will need to buy double sided adhesive tape for body work . It looks like foam but it has adhesive on both sides . As far as holes being left behind , yes . the rear emblem will leave two holes where the emblem actually kinda clips in the body . You can opt for going to a body shop and having the holes filled and painting over . But in my opinion that doesn't look good on any car if there is no emblems at all . It just looks unfinished . I painted my rear emblem black . After sanding them down lightly I put a coat of black on them , let them sit for a day or so and then coated again . Waited a few days and then coated them one more time . They came out looking almost powder coated . I dunno how it happened but I ain't complaining . I like it .
