Default Is this guy scamming me?

I found a 94 EG on craigslist the other day and turns the seller lives in U.K.
Now Im not too sure if this guy is legit or not since I never had to purchase a car from a guy who lives outside the country. I DID do some research on my own, and when I "googled" the vin number, it showed me an ebay auction page... hmm Im not too sure about this on my own but I hope some fellow honda-tech members could help me out on this one.

heres the email he sent me

Hello
My name is Chad Lewis and i want to say sorry for my delay,
The 1994 Honda Civic SI is in perfect working condition. This detailed vehicle makes the exterior look like it just came off the assembly line. The car has 204,987 miles highway miles. VIN Number: 2HGEH3384RH519774
It was never involved in any accident, not even minor ones. The body and paint are great. The interior is super clean, mechanically, it runs like a cat on carpet.
As I know that my current situation is pretty special I want the deal closed only through FEXCO in order for you to be 100% protected. You will make the payment to FEXCO and they will hold the money until you receive the car. ONLY AFTER you receive the car and you inspect it(for 10 days) FEXCO will release the payment to me; in this way we are both protected. Anyway i am sure that if you will don`t be satisfied about the car i will surely find another buyer in your area and there will be no need for you to ship the car back. I am located in HARTPOOL,United Kingdom I'm selling the car because i recently moved from US to here with my wife who is from here and we intend to marry in United Kingdom. The car is still in USA, stored at the sipping company in one of their warehouses near Texarkana AR. The shipping is paid by me, so they are ready to handle the shipping process, and deliver the car at the buyer’s shipping address. The car is stored along with the complete service history, notarized bill of sale, and the title (proof of ownership). The title is not salvage, it is a clean title. All these documents will assist you in the registration process. I have also decided to give you a 10 days testing period, so that you can test drive the car, with no obligation to buy. My final price on it is US 2,469 $. If you will take it for this price, I am willing to handle the shipping. You will receive the car in about 3 days. Please get back to me ASAP if you decide to buy and i will replay with more info about the process.
Thank you and have a great day,
Chad

and for those of you wondering if the car is worth it or not.. pics!

heres the email he replied to me

Hello again,
As I have promised in my previous email here are the complete steps of this process :First I have to tell you that the payment process is being handled by FEXCO. The shipping process is being handled by D.A.S. I have already told you that the car is being deposited at the shipping company, and they are waiting for me to give them the address of the buyer.
I will need the following details from you:
-full name
-billing address
-shipping address (if it is different than the billing one).
-Phone #
I will contact FEXCO, and give them the details of the buyer (your details). They will process the details and register you as the buyer.
FEXCO will email you an invoice with the instructions on how to complete the deal.
You will have to make a refundable deposit of $ 2469 US. They will confirm the deposit, and I will have the vehicle shipped to you. You will have a 10 days testing period before you decide to buy. If you like the vehicle and decide to buy, then you will contact FEXCO with your decision so that I will be able to receive the money.
If you decide not to buy, you will also have to contact FEXCO and let them know your decision so that you will receive the deposit money back. After you have your money back, then I will contact the shipping company to come take the car, but I assure you that you will love the car.
Please email me the details that I need in order to start the transaction.
Kind regards!

The price tells it off, but I'm wondering, how can they scam? I mean, using that company and all?

I just went to carfax.com and typed it in and it has 10 entries in the vehicles record. Id say scam. You never know what those ten things could be. Mine had four entries when i bought it. Turns out it had been through 4 owners. One totaled it, one rebuilt it, it was stolen once, ad the list goes on. Dont fall for this guy

If you notice...that doesn't have a d15 in it. And yet he only wants 2,600?? That alone makes me skeptical.

I'm with HondaMan 600%. Lucky we're not lookin for DeLoreans or Shelby Mustangs....these things are a dime a dozen. You can find a Honda for sale just by walking your local block.

Plus I know people may disagree, but I would personally NEVER buy a car without getting to at least sit in it first, yanno? There's a lot of great deals here on HT, and on Ebay and whatnot...where I'd PayPal the dough and he'd have it shipped from wherever to my house. I always have such fear that it'd show up and be NOT what I expected, and now its wayyyyyy too late. I have no prob buying an out of state car, but only if I can make it there and at least be able to SEE it before I buy it.

Good luck to you. Hondas are SO common....you get to be as picky as possible, and eventually you WILL come across the right car for you. And it'll be soooooo worth the time you spent looking and waiting.

Its a total expletiveing scam.
Never ever order cars from overseas where the seller needs to "ship" it, regardless of where he/she says it is stored. This has been going on for years.

Only time you can order car's from overseas are from large, reputable companys.

as nice as it would be to have a real EG6 its most likely a scam. Just look up autotrader. You can find "eg" hatchbacks all day and in your community.

Ignore it.

I had a car on craigslist and a guy was looking to "move to the US from the UK" and wanted to buy my car so he had something when he got here.

Then he sent me a check for 6 grand telling me 3.5k was for the car, 2.5k was for the pple who were gonna pick it up...pay the 2.5k to his accountant states side.

Right, I wasn't about to pay anybody 2.5k - so I brought the check to my local bank and they sent it out to the federal scam people - who said the check wasn't a fake itself, but the bank (located god knows where) was ran through a dummy corp and the whole operation was bogus as hell.

In any event, ignore the car. That would be the smart thing to do, whether you do it or not just determines whether or not you're smart.
