Re: Gun shot sounding exhaust???? (dirtyapes)
was it possibly a backfire, if he has a crack in the exhaust manifold the air would reignite unburned fuel in the exhaust and cause it to "pop", the loudness depending on how rich he runs. But as far as "spark plug exhaust"?, sounds like something out of 2 fast 2 furious
Is it a flame thrower setup?

he couldn't miss that . Flames would shoot out of the exhaust with a sparkplug in it

Nah, i wasn't at the runs, but i've seen it around before. One time I saw it near my school when class got out, and it scared some people (made them jump) because it was so loud.

its not backfire...its called miss firing because he either has a dent in his exhaust which creates a vacum air packet and when theres enough back pressure it lets it out with a pop...either that or he has a missfiring system setup to where as his revs drop it missfires to keep revs up and either slow down or speed up the car easier which can be done by exhaust and some other mods...i know cuz i have a missfiring setup in my car where after i rev its really really loud than it goes "POP POP" with flames being thrown from the exhaust
