This is more for the common question of speed, you're going a bit in-depth for the average joe buddy!
For suspension you can honestly look that up so easily. Here's a thread from Libertariat
CLICK HERE all of you curious about suspension setups and their costs/reliability.
I had ebay coilovers... worst idea ever, trust me don't waste your time. If you're really just looking for a drop for aesthetics and mating it up with your stock shocks, settle with Tein S.Techs. There's two on the marketplace for sell right now under $150:

"Brand new tein S Tech lower spring $140 fits 96-00 civic "

Outstanding Resource!
This is an excellent source of information - it would be nice if newer members were automatically guided through this thread before posting.
Thank you for taking the time to gather all the info and links, and the matter of fact way you presented it.
It is absolutely essential that my car's function come before form on the ridiculous drive I make on work days. Reading through this guide both confirmed choices I have made and provided insight to those yet to come!
Cheers.

I was looking to extend my gas mileage if I could (EJ8)..my plan was to just buy a cone filter and connect it to the factory intake, my question is will I actually harm my current MPG's? wouldnt the ECU read that there's suddenly more air coming into the system therefore compensating with more fuel??....maybe my mind is thinking to far into it any clarity would help..Thanx

Some cars do use "warm air intakes" to help with mpg. However i dont think putting a cone on the stock air box will help.
