Default Guidance with my build

What’s up guys. I refently picked up a ej1 for 300 bucks. I’ve always wanted a Honda to build and now I have the chance. I have a 400 whp mazdaspeed3 but it’s not the same as building something from the ground up. So I’ve decided to stay with a d series motor because everyone seems to hate on the d series. Right now it has a d15b7 block and a d16y8 head. I was thinking about getting the d16z6 block to match with the head I have. I’m also going to be building this thing for to be my daily driver and make anywhere between 350-400 whp. I am moving back to southern Cali. So if anyone knows some shops they recommend awesome. I guess I’m mainly making this thread for suggestions from the Honda veterans on the page!

Thanks in advance!

I feel like you're going to be spending a whole lot more money to make 350-400 WHP on a Single jingle, rather than putting money into a boosted b series. Food for thought though.

I haven't seen much good with D series setups putting up more than 300.

Good luck to however you attempt to do this.

I know I could pick up a a b18b1 for a few hundred bucks and a gsr head for a few hundred more but I’ve researched the b series swaps cost about 4K all together. Take another 5 k to build and boost it just gets expensive as hell
