Guage lights dont work? PLEASE help.
I left a thread here a week ago, and no one replied, but I really need help with this. Winters c oming and i'm driving with the light from the street lights beaming through the sun roof. The fuse continues to break, they're stock guages, and the lights that light them up won't.
I need to be able to see the guages.
Someone please help me and not ig nore my thread.
the fuse only breaks when the car is started, it doesn't burst when I turn the lights on and the car is off. Someone tell me what's goin on, or at least give me a place to start.
It's a 97 civic 2dr ex, with a system, and only exhaust...everything else is stock. I dont' know whats causing it.

Under the dash is the fuse box. check the fuse panel it will tell you what fuse to run dont run anything stonger than what it asks for. Or if you have a system that could be interfering with it.

id check all the connections with your system..if nothing there try a bigger fuse in the one that keeps blowing (example: if it takes a 10 try a 15 or 20) because it could be shorting out cause with the system it cant handle it..good luck

Don't put a bigger fuse in if it's blowing. It's there with that specific amperage for a reason: so nothing is damaged.
Just check to make sure nothing extra is added to the wires for the lights. I think I've heard of some installers connecting to the lights for a 12v source.

I've checked the fuses, and it doesn't appear that the lights are connected wrong, I don't really know cause this is my first japanese car and I don't know what to look for. I've never had this problem before, I just got the car so I doin't know what it could be, the system is connected to the battery and run back, the fuse for that looks fine as well. How could I tell if the lights are connected incorrectly
