the secondary butterfly is for high end torqe and yeah that ls tranny's killing you the ratios are just to long.

so the ls tranny makes the gsr engine feel like a d16?. My old ls motor felt stronger before i swapped it out. at the time i was also running the ls tranny on the ls motor.

hmmmm now thats weird the gsr should still feel stronger with the ls tranny then a stock ls... maybe theres something wrong with the motor where did you get it from? miles?

your butt dyno telling you it feels like a d16 isn't an accurate measurement of the power of the motor. there are alot of factors that will make this setup bad. ls with ls tranny, ls motors have more torque that gsr motors so that is going to tell you butt dyno you are accelerating slower. a ls tranny is meant for gas mileage imo and nothing more. that tranny should not be on any car that is being used for performance.

did you check compression of the motor first? Seafoam it, clean the throttle out, check the spark plugs, cap and rotor etc.

i got this motor from password jdm and compression was fine, so i think . i saw them performin a compression check and all cylinders read 240. are those numbers wrong? i looked online and this is what i found. they also said the engine had aorund 35k. this is my first time buying an engine. i tried to research as much as i can before i bought the engine.
