Gsr or Type r? Turbo?

Hey whats up guys, I have i quick question. I currently own a Gsr engine in a 00' si. Im planning to go turbo in a few months.
What engine would be better with a turbo?
I seen the type r has 20 more horse than the Gsr.
Idk if i should stay gsr or get a swap? what are your thoughts?
Please help! Thanks

The ITR motor makes more power but has a higher compression ratio which means you would need to run a much more conservative tune for the engine to stay reliable.

If you are planning to run stock block I would recommend running the GSR bottom end with a ITR/B16 head and call it a day.

What turbo do you plan on using? What is your power goal? Is this daily driven? Do you have any idea what a complete turbo setup costs? Do you have any ideas for your fuel system? Ask yourself these questions and then come back with answers for us.
