Default GSR or Type R 4 lug on a cx? how difficult?

I been reading every brake enhancment post up lately because I fear brake fade, and I wanna upgrade soon. However, I wanna do it myself but I haven't familiarized myself with any of the parts in that area yet. I got my Chilton's to guide me, but my biggest concern is My cx does not have anti lock brakes, and both donor cars (96 jdm ITR or GSR ) for the brake upgrade have antilock brakes. How difficult will it be? What problems did other cx owners run into? And (stupidest part of question) Will the conversion make my car have anti lock brakes, or will I just have nice big stoppers?
-ps. If you're dying to flame this, try to educate me at least. I don't know **** about my brakes. They have so much rust on them, I like to try my hardest not to look at them! Thanks

I dont think it matters if it came with the abs or not. You minght need
a different proportioning valve but im not sure on that one. I do know that not
all jdm gsr's came with the abs system.

no, you wont have ABS. ABS also requires extra brake lines and a different proportioning valve.
Master cylinder is not different with ABS and non-ABS.

4 lug and 5 lug are the exact same thing as far as installation. Don't worry about the ABS lines at all...

I only used the pic of 5 lug cause I couldn't find a good one of 4 lug. 5 lug is a lot more expensive, and I don't see the point of paying almost double so people can ooh and ah over one more nut. On the 96 Type R 4 lug setup, are the dimensions different than a 92 civic?? I'm curious because I don't want to install the brakes and find that I can't fit my stock wheels on there. thanks for all your help so far.

like said above, you can't put your stock wheels on a jdm 4x114.3 set up..
if you want to, just get a GSR or Si disc conversion.

the ABS will do nothing all you do is unbolt the wires and toss it (mine had it too) the conversion is really easy, just make sure you have plenty of time, all the right tools (sockets, pry bar, pliers and flathead screw driver) and money for an alighnment after you get finished
http://www.hybridgarage.com
has a goos write up on the rear break conversion so you half way there
oh and the five lug application has a much bigger braking area due to bigger rotors and calipers. so it is more then jus tone more nut they are drooling over

if you are going to do a 4 lug conversion might as well just do the GSR one, you're not going to get the BLING factor with a 4 lug Type R conversion...because they look exactly the same except the bolt pattern is 4x114 instead of 4x100...plus easier to find spare rims/tires w/ 4x100. i was goinig to do the 5 lug type r conversion on mine and i thought about rim/tire combo and just went with the GSR 4 lug conversion
