GSR & Type R?
well i was going through hondamotorsonline.com and they sell the Gsr engine for $3,300 with out lsd and it would be $300 more for lsd.so thats $3,600 right there. would it just be better to save for for a type r which is $4,800 with lsd?if i bought the gsr it would have i/h/e so thats an extra $1 200 and that would be around the same price of a stock type r swap, which would have more power?

I say if you can afford the type r, then get it. Just use a stock airbox, with a drop in filter, use the type r header if it comes with it, and then just go get some piping done and a nice stock looking muffler (ES oval).

I have a GSR swap with LSD in my hatch.
If I could have, I would have gone ITR, but my scenario only allowed a GSR swap.
ITR has -great header already, better cams, intake manifold, throttlebody, pistons/compression, better valvetrain and most importantly, a Short Geared Tranny which will make you faster!!!!! Also if you go with a 98+ spec ITR swap from Japan, you get a 4-1 header, better cams AND an even shorter tranny!
save up and do it right... an ITR swap is badass in a Hatch
