uhhh...so you put the stock p72 back in right? leave it in because its the correct ecu. p72 vtec is at 4400 and the secondaries are at 5700.
the reason it felt powerful up top with the p30 is because you had lost power in the midrange right before vtec came in making you feel faster once it did. i dont know why you were switching ecus to begin with just i/h/e.

Yeah I would run the stock P72 with that engine. Your not loosing tq down low now like b4 with the other ecu so the top end might not feel as strong butin all reality its just alot smoother now. Im sure you already know about how you will lose power down low with a dual-stage IM and a ECU not set-up/tuned for that IM.

Moving your vtec xover up is not going to make your car any faster, it will just make a bigger diff when vtec kicks in since it was dragging *** b4 with the low cams running high rpm.

i always thought it was the other way around, secondary's open at 4400rpm, and VTEC engaged at 5700. i forget which is was but i changed to a Skunk2 manifold the second week i swaped the motor in simply for the fact the stock gsr manifold looks like a$$.

just go back to the p30, if you already have your knock sensor wired. then whats the problem with it?

thats the only reason ppl use p28 is cause they're lazy. and p28's are a little less rare
