Default GSR Tensioner problem

my gsr's tensioner won't stay tight.. the belt keeps on getting loose.. any idea? the screw seems to be very hard to tighten.. is that a problem.. the tensioner tightens it and then once we put a little pressure on the timing belt the tensioner gives and we have to redo everything.. should i just tighten the tensioner even more

Sounds to me like you have the wrong bolt...one that's too long. If it's hard to turn, but for a time it's turning in fine it sounds like your running out of threads inside the block and that's why it's getting hard. What's happening then is, even though the bolt may be very close to the pulley, it's not getting it tight.

Without more info this is my best guess.
