Default GSR swap into EK Exhaust manifold issues? 2000-01 GSR maybe? help please

Im trying to make this a bolt on deal, Ive read a bunch of threads saying I will have to have some welding done but im wondering if anyone has tried a 00-01 GSR header. I know they are longer and have an o2 bung but are they long enough and are the bolts for the collector flange at the right angle. The 95 is way too short, I tried a USDM ITR header and it was at most 2in short from bolting up and the collector flange bolts were at a different angle. Honda's are like Lego's you just have to know what parts to use, there has to be some header that will bolt up.

i agree what u said about honda as lego. i had tried integra LS, 99 Civic Si and ITR headers on my b16a and they all have different flange angles. i ended up having a muffler shop weld ,cut and extend the cat convter flange.

I've talked to people who have used a b sereis manifold with a 92-95 vtec down pipe and it al lined up. I'd use the type r header and pay like 30 bucks for an exhaust shop to repair the rest. instead of buying a new header.

Dont have the Type R header anymore, was looking to buy one that I could just bolt and go. I have a manifold and downpipe right now that bolts up but no o2 bung, and I have no idea what its off of. Maybe I will see if I can have an o2 bung welded into it. Sure would like to know about the 00-01 GSR header, I would think Honda makes something that would just bolt on.

interested to learn more about this.

There is a vendor on here that will fabricate Carsound cats to spec so you can bolt them on without having to go the a muffler shop. Would that solve your problem?

I bought a bolt on cat and catback so that is why im looking for a header that would just be bolt on. Your idea im sure would solve the issue but I have a feeling the 2000-01 GS-R header will work. Just wish I could find a picture of the actual header.

if you have a gsr swap into a civic use a b16 header so the lenght and the flange will connect perfect b16 header fits ls gsr b16 to a civic frame good and u can use civic cat

Got any pics? I'm trying to see what it looks like before I buy one. Im not opposed to buying a stock manifold I just hope it will bolt on to a civic cat. Shoot me some pics an we may have a deal.
