gsr swap into civic - questions about knock sensor and iab
okay so i just got done with my swap. obd1 b18c1 into my 95 civic ex. used gsr harness/ecu. everything was plug and play but i have an extra harness plug on my passenger shock tower with 2 pins. I traced it on my integra bay and its for an abs plug...what do i do with that extra plug?
2nd question is, iv been doing research and it says i have to add a knock sensor wire and a iab to my ecu. I checked my knock sensor its already plugged up to something (never touched it since i pulled motor out from integra) and where is my iab??
i started up the motor and everything sounds great and there is no check engine light...do i still need to do something with my knock sensor and iab?
help please!!!!

Re: gsr swap into civic - questions about knock sensor and iab
In the 2 pin plug, I believe one of the wires are for the evap senolid. At least that was the case for the obd2b engine harness from my gsr. The knock sensor is a single wire thats in one of the shock tower plug and can be traced by color and same with the iab. You can find the pins at your local junkyard and integrate the new wires into the body shocktower hardness.

It will show a CELL for knock but I think you have to let it idle for a while for the ecu to look for a signal from the sensor but it could be hooked up already. did you use a gsr engine harnes and civic ecu harness (inside car harness that ecu hooks up to) you will have to add the wire to the ecu for both Secondaries and knock sensor.
VTEC Solenoid - Yellow/Green - A4
VTEC Oil Pressure Sensor - Blue (passenger side harness) - D6
VTEC Ground Black chassis ground
Knock Sensor Red/Blue D3
Evap Purge Power Yellow/Black 12V power (hot in ON or START)
Evap Purge Solenoid - Red - A20
Secondary Intake Solenoid - Pink/Blue - A17
hope this helps.
