yea, well i searched and got the same links that you showed me, and none of them had any worthwhile information, the info was pertaining to gsr seats into coupes or sedans, and the ones pertaining to ek hatches just said they had them resting and they had no installed them properly

so again, is it possible to put the gsr rear seats into an ek

the gsr rears have lil dollies (rods, pins whatevr) and the ek seats have brackets that bolt to the seats?

how is it possible to get the gsr rear seats to be functional in an ek hatch??

YES , it is possible to put gsr coupe rear seats in a ek hatch. i have gsr leather front and rear seats in my hatch

First, off the bench will fit and be bolted down to the frame using the 2 tabs under the gsr bench. the back of the bench is held down once you stick the seat belts through. when i did my rear seats swap i noticed that the bench didn't have as much cushioning underneath the seats like the stock ones, so i ended up throwing some towels under the bench for added cushion and it raises the seats up a little to fit more snug. also, be aware that there will be a gap on either side of the gsr bench once installed. there is nothing you can do about it, but i hid mine by putting some black stereo carpeting in between the gap so it's not as noticeable.

the rear back portion is a little more time consuming because if you've already noticed the gsr back section does not bolt directly into the ek. what you need to do in order to make the backs fit perfectly like oem is swap the skins. what this means is, take your stock ek backs and start cutting the "o" rings all along the perimeter that hold the cloth onto the seat frame. do the same to the gsr seat backs. carefully take off the existing seat covers from each frame and swap one for the other. the grs back will fit on the ek frame. once, you have swapped the skins, use zip ties to reattach the material to the frame, don't worry the rear cargo cloth will cover all the unsightly zip ties. then reinstall your seat backs. using the ek back frames you'll notice that the seats will fit and lock just like stock. good luck

i'll try and post a couple pics later

To help get rid of that gap on the sides there, you can use the bottom seats from a 4 door integ, but it's not necessary.
