I broke off the lower a/c condensor brackets. Then fabb'd up some thin plate steel for the upper brackets. It can be done other ways(for upper brackets)...but for it to fit right you pretty much have to remove the lower brackets. I used 2 upper brackets, one on each side to keep it secure. I have had no shifting issues related to this. I recently bent the lower portion of the radiator support, so my radiator fits kind of goofy and at a tilt, but aside from that it fit great.

It's not the best picture, nor does it show the radiator installed, but the two rust spots on the support are where I have my upper brackets bolted down.

A temp job for the time but still work fine since last year.

I broked off the mid support on the bottom and for the support up top i used 2 stock civic support brackets. I bent them a bit to get them into the right shape.

Simple as that. No need to make things anymore complicated then it needs to be.

yea man i have the ls radiator in mines but i havent figured out the top brackets yet. i will before i drop the next motor in. I think that the fan sits really close to the master cylinder though that kinda sucks.

here is a pic if u go B18b might as well take everything including the radiator.

The fan does sit really close but it clears it. No worries.
But if you really want to feel safe that it will clear then you can get a slim fal fan. That'll solve the clearance issue.

yea since i dont have my **** mounted correctly on the top, and my rear tranny bolts were loose so i shifted hard and the engine went to far forward and hit the fan the clutch got stuck open and i was scared as hell. the lil **** on the end of the master cylinder hit the fan grill and cut it up a lil bit. ha so if u do the swap correctly it wont be so bad, just think of it that way.

If you have a Bseries engine than use a integra b series or Del Sol VTEC hose.

Not sure if you can stretch a "d series" hose to fit around the neck of the radiator.

I think you'll need Integra hoses regardless, because the outlets on the Integra radiator will be larger than your Civic radiator. I'm using Integra hoses for mine because I'm running an Integra engine.

For my Integra rad. install i did the follwing:

1. Drilled out the welds on the lower rad. mounts and A/c condensor mounts

2. Set the Integra rad. in the hole and marked where the lower rad. mounts needed to be on my cross member

3. Spot weld the lower mounts in place or use self-tapping bolts - welding is ideal, but bolts will work

4. Fabricate an upper mount out of a piece of flat aluminum and cover it with rubber to protect the upper plastic tank

That's how mine's been into two different Civics now.

best way is to remove the lower a/c brackets and relocate the lower radiator brackets. (i used an air hammer and a hammer)

bolt or re-weld the lower radiator brackets in the new location (i bolted them back on with some strong screws and an impact wrench)

to set the record straight...it is possible to use the smaller civic sohc radiator hoses on the GS-R radiator. (i have done it! it was snug as hell though so have fun! haha. before my swap i installed the radiator while still having my SOHC) after my swap i used the GS-R hoses which you should do! DOHC VTEC hoses and clamps recommended.

the fan isn't that close to the motor. like previously mentioned a slim fan can be purchased.

as far as the upper mounts go you will have to do a little tweaking to them so the hood will clear since they are in different locations now. or fabricate your own but using rubber contacts is recommended.
