Default Gsr P/S help.....searched.

Well I searched and read through a thread about this. Now im confused. I currently have no power steering but I was gonna try to install it. Everything is there. I got the car with the swap in it already and everything hooked up except the P/S pump cuz it was missing the bolts. But now that I got the bolts, I noticed that it don't look like its gonna work or if its the right pump. All I saw in the pump was "P2A-F2" stamped on it. Is this the right one? My top bracket was stamped p72. I don't know about the lower one. But im guessing its the stock gsr one. Any help is appreciated.

P2A is D series. If you have an OBD2 car, you need an OBD2 GSR pump or a 99-00 B16 pump to hook up to your stock PS lines.

Really? Damm. Also I read on the Faq's that only the Si pump(99-00) would work? So a OBD2 gsr pump works as well? Can someone confirm this before I buy a wrong part. Thanx.

the power seeting pumps are differetn from the integra to civic. if you have a 96-00 civic and are trying to run a b series power steering pump you need a 99-00 si pump and make sure you have the correct brackets. The gsr/si or itr brackets are the same but the pumps are different. the 99-00 has the largest hole for the ps line to go into9 compared to the integra

Bad news guys. I've done more than my share of EK swaps and I can say with 100% confidence that you guys obviously have no clue what you are talking about.

OBD2 GSR
99-00 Si
Any VTEC upper bracket (P72 or P30)

You read the right FAQ? Page 2, start about 1/3 of the way down and go from there. You'll see my post where I explained what I used.

Here's my 98 DX 4 door with P72 upper bracket and OBD2 power steering pump. Yes, I used the OEM 98 Civic DX power steering lines and all other hoses....

And here's a 98 EX coupe I did a swap on; same thing. GSR OBD2 pump.

Hmm, You're saying I have no clue? I'm talking from what I am using in my setup.

Are you saying I'm wrong and that a 99-00 SI power steering pump won't work?

I'm only asking since you decided to say, "you guys"

I don't think he's going against you guys. I think what he was trying to say is that all of you guys only mention the Si pump while I guess the Gsr Obd2 pump works *** well.

I'm trying to use the GSR pump from my 97 (which is obd2) in my 98 civic dx hatchback and it won't work. So tell me how you did it?
