Gsr motor into Civic Si question ?? please Help
Was up guys i have a 2000 civic si and im planing on swaping a Gsr into the car
My question is what will be needed to fully do this swap. I plan on getting a complete motor from jdm depot. I have a step down harness to be able to run a obd1 ecu already. Is there any other wiring that has to be done or converted ? Will all my harness clips work with the gsr motor ? And how is the firing order on the gsr motor as well ?
Also since im obd2 how will the distributor clip work with an obd1 will i have to buy a connector that goes from obd1 to obd2 as well ?
Any info or tricks on whatever it may be to make this work please let me know as im really interested in doing this swap since my original engine is no longer good.
Im planning on keeping my b16 trans for now since money is a little low to get the gsr trans since i just need a engine to get the car and running. Do i need to use a gsr flywheel to use my b16 trans ? I know b series trans are interchangable but as far as flywheel and clutch goes wat do i have to use to make the b16 trans work with a gsr motor ??
Thanks in advance guys

going to tell ya to search cuz there is tons of info in the faq swap what works what doesnt..
when you do the swap the harness from the si is plug and play ... except at the alternator and dizzy.. make sure they are the same obd or you will have to sodder different connectors .. the plugs dont match.. i think ffsquad has some good pics of what im talking about
oo and fuel injectors same thing
