there is a walk through for this swap.
the obd2 motor will bolt and wire up
you dont need to change the distributor
use the engine harness.
use a obd1 gsr ecu
you will need to swap 1 or 2 wires and wire vtec(if needed)/knock sensor, also make sure you get del sol dohc shift linkage.
i've done this exact swap, and have had it running in my present car for 2 years with no issues.

you should choose your distrubter by the engine harness you have. and if you get a chipped p28 you dont have to worry about the knock sensor or the secondary butterflies. as far as wiring is concerned try to get the two wiring diagrams, one for the engine and the other for the chassis. just compare and switch around as need be.

I have a 96 GSR on a 93 Del Sol si. Chip your current ecu to be able to disable things and make life easier. Everything on your motor including the harness should stay obd2. Also like stated, get the Del Sol Vtec shift linkage. Pretty easy swap that can be done by the first timer. All plug and play!

as everyone is saying using obd2 motor combine with obd1 ecu. will that work perfectly? nothing will interfer or anything right? this my first time so I wouldnt know all that much.

Get your ecu "chipped" and you will not have any problems. Your going to want to disable IAB's, knock, and 02 sensors. Or you can get a p72 ecu and just run that. If you leave you stock ecu in there it will not run right.
Just do this, send your ecu in to Phearable.net and have him chip it. When you get it back you will be golden on that end of your swap.
