GSR LCA's on 5th gen civic
i am buying some gsr LCA's for my 94 civic. i am also installing neuspeed koni yellows and eibach sportlines (integra gsr rates) at the same time. i have done a lot of reading on how poeple are having the lower shock bolt break off on them. if i am using the gsr LCA's (which have full ES poly bushings ), will i be able to just remove the shock/stock LCA assembly still assembled? then all i would have to do is put in the new LCA's form the gsr with new bolts and be all set. does this sound correct to you guys? thanks for the help.

Yes that's all you have to do. You may want to get a gsr rear sway bar while you're at it to take advantage of having the gsr rear LCAs. YOu should be able to get one really cheap. Another thing, you will need new bolts. They are $13 each from honda. I had to buy two for mine.

thanks mantic6t9....
i already thought of the gsr rear sway bar idea....a good friend of mine is getting the comptech rear sway/tie combo and i am getting his rear sway.....its not an ITR, but it'll work just fine for me. also, i know that i will need the new shock bolts, but will i need any others? do the mouting bolts for the LCA usually sieze up, or should i be fine? the reason i ask is because i will most likely be doing this late at night to have access to a lift and a garage so i wont be able to make runs to the dealer to get other broken bolts besides the shock bolts. thanks again for the help.....and BTW, my goal is to have my engine bay as clean as yours....very nice!

The only bolt thats was froze on my car was that one. All the others came out with no problem. Soak all the bolt ends with a penatrating lube the day/night before you plan on taking it apart. When i put mine back together i applied antisize to all the bolts especialy the shock to lca bolt i lubed the hole bolt up not just the threads in hope it will keep it from frezing to the sleeves again. Good luck with both your suspension and engine bay.
