GSR/ITR oil cooler?

Re: GSR/ITR oil cooler? (Hard2Find)
It is on the block, its sandwhiched between the oil filter and the block. Water flows through it and cools the oil before/after filtration. No pics, but all GSRs should have it, but ALL B16s should. Before I added my cooler (front mount), my oil temps would peg 250 on the highway on trips. now, nothing over 200 or so.

Not all do. My 94 B16A does not, and i know for a fact 99-00 VTEC does not.
That's weird considering the b16s will rev up higher than the 1.8L

what needs to be done to make this work with a block that doesnt have an oil cooler? i see two lines coming out of the oil cooler, where do those go?

You need a GSR/ITR water pipe, and the two rubber hoses/clamps, the cooler, and the fitting that bolts to the block/filter screws to.
Its a worthwhile swap if you have the motor out, it'll save your oil.

thanks, i think i have all those parts laying around from a 1st gen b16 that came with it. ironic how that the 1st gen has it and the b16a2 doesnt.
