How do i shorten the muffler to make it more flush with the bumper
yeah i was hoping some of you guys with integra mufflers on eh hatch's could help me out by posting some pics,cause i've got one on my beater but i need to make the tip go under the bumper a little more and TIA

not any tech in your post, but i can see that you're not a n00b. you asked for pics, and nothing else. just modify your post to something like, "How do i shorten the muffler to make it more flush with the bumper?" see what i'm saying? not trying to be an *** by the way.
well, to answer your question, i've seen many people just cut the tip or cut the little pipe before the tip.

ACTUALLY IT DOES,i just wanted to know if anyone else had modified the tip to fit under the bumper but forget it ,this is a freaking ordeal

actually....it doesn't without serious modifications!!!
how do i know....ohhh i have one just sitting here....
the 99-00 si will fit if you cut the tip off....but the integra won't cause the can itself is too big!

the itr muffler will fit, its big but itll fit... make sure you have them redo the hangers so it doesnt rattle and then they have to cut the tip off the can and shorten it then re-weld the shortened tip back to the can....

i tried to fit a RS-R muffler, off a DC onto a EG, the muffler would not fit ,,,, with out cutting it in half and making the muffler shorter!!!!!!!!!!!..
IT DID NOT WORK FOR ME............

It fits,any decent exhaust shop should be able to make it fit.First hatch has a itr muffler.

My friend has a type r exhaust on his EK, it just went right on so I dont see why it wouldn't on an EG.

i ran out of money on my gsr swap so i cut and clamped a gsr exaust/cat/muffler to work on my eg hatch
i just cut the pipe and clamped it back togather with c clamps
full gsr piping

thanks guys i thought this thread had died ,i have the full gsr catback so what i did was cut the pipe that comes out of the muffler and reattach the finisher pipe and it looks great
