Default gsr iab solenoid **please read**

i swapped my gsr 96 or 98 with obd2b p72 on 99-00 civic si. im using civic si harness, so i know that si harness doesnt have iab sensor plug, but im going to cut off one from jdm gsr harness that has sensor for iab.

but when i bought the jdm gsr compelete swap, it doesnt come with iab solenoid, they are very hard to find. have any of u exprience with this problem?

im going need to know if im doing correct thing that i need to add length wires and solder it to iab sensor and plug both power wires onto a26 pin of the p72 ecu and have the ground wire onto constant 12v ground, speaking of ground; plug it on starter ground? please help as it is very important for me to have my gsr motor running accordingly.

What I did on my del sol w gsr was one wire tapped into the yellow/black on the driver shock tower(power) and the other to the ecu that's it. Do this but you won't have a driver shock tower harness cuz it's obd 2 civic. Tap into any yellow blk power wire on the harness and you'll be fine and other wire to ecu

Why don't you try the IAB/Vacuum tank from a 90-93 F22A6? They are super abundant and pretty sure will work the same. You may have to fab up the mounting of the tank but the connection should be the same:

Yes, true.

And also on the OBD2b, the other side of the plug does NOT go to ground. It goes to 12v power. One side goes to pin B16, the other goes to 12v supply. I don't know why they changed it for OBD2b, but that's how it is. I screwed with it for 3 weeks before I figured that out, because on all the previous GSRs, it does go to ground.

As far as the solenoid, you should be able to get it from http://www.acuraautomotiveparts.org/...s=&view=normal. I think it's #6 in that picture, but not 100% sure because the numbers are a little unclear. You'll also need the tank, bracket, hoses, and diaphragm if you don't have them.
