gsr engine stiffeners
i have a 92 civic hatch and im about to put in my gsr motor. are the gsr engine stiffeners necessary?

I do not believe they are required perse, but they're not a bad idea. If you want them, I think I may have an extra set. I'll have to look when I get home today....as well as take pictures of parts for other people. PM me if interested.

those connect from the bottom of the trans to the block, correct? i have them on my 2000 si, and when i swapped motors i put them back in. the bottom of the trans is a good bit lower than the bottom of the motor, it just looked like a good idea to put them to keep everything (engine and trans) tied together, since there really is nothing else there. the only places where the block and trans actually bolt up is on the upper half of the block, those are it for down low.

Like has been said before ill say again. honda puts things there not for looks, or fun, but to serve a function and a purpose. those brace the tranny and the block from getting and type of movement and keep it from bouncing and breaking stuff. You will want those, trust me.
