Default GSR Engine with D16 Tranny - Will it Work?

Can a GSR engine fit and work with a 95 civic with a D16 tranny? My friend wants to know so he can do an engine swap. Thanks in advance.

I searched, and couldn't find anything, I guess I didn't search enough or thorough, I don't have all the time in the world, I just wanted a quick answer and thanks for answering.

So do a whole entire B18C swap. Thanks.

yep, does that make them better, not to all, just the performance oriented people. in my opinion they are more prone to bad synchros. both have weak points b just seems to out weigh the d.

I find it funny that you can swap H with F trannies though.

comparing d to b is like apples to oranges, it just isnt on the same page... neither one is better than the other if they cant be used in the same application.

Well, I think I just tell my friend to do the whole B18C swap, tranny and all... I guess it does make sense.
