i have a 94 coupe with a gsr obd1 swap and was woundering witch ecu is better for it a p28 or p72 it has a p28 in it now but its for an auto and im sure yall know that i cant go over 7 grand so im not getting nowhere near the rpm range that it can go .

There is also a way to convert an automatic ECU to a manual.
This was found by searching on Google.
"Yes you can convert an automatic P28 ECU to a manual ECU.All you need to do is remove jumpers RP17 and RP18 then jump RP18 with a 0 ohm resistor."
This info is pretty much useless if you're anything less than a pro with a soldering gun, but I'm throwing it out there anyways.

I would say a stock P72 would be better than a stock p28, or a p28 setup for the wrong engine. P72 already has the right maps and everything else needed to run a gsr right, since that's the ecu intended for the engine. Stock for stock, it'll definitely work better than an auto p28.
If you already got a p28 though, you can get it chipped to run a gsr fine.
