Default gsr cams in b16a2 head

i was wondering if i switch gsr cams in to my b16a2 head would i have to make any valve adjustments to make up for the increase in lift when using the gsr cams

Its not necessary. The min/max tolerances of both overlap

ok i am also using b16b pistons would this cause any problem with the valve clearence

Nope, the CTR cams designed to run with those pistons are much larger then GSR cams

Your in the clear. Just be sure you torque all the bolts on the cam caps and rails to spec and in order. You might even replace the cam seal why your at it just to kill 2 birds with 1 stone and prevent future issues.

valve lash adj is pretty simple. I would go ahead and do it anyway. its also recommended to do it every 15,000 miles or sooner.

Not if they are in spec to the B16 cams your running right now.

the guy that is building my engine, he is doing the porting and polishing and valve job said if i were using different cams that i would have to get it adjusted. but i think he thought i was using some radical cams with a large increase in duration and lift, but they are only stock gsr cams

All the OEM cams run off the same tolerances. Aftermarket cams require adjustments.
