gsr OR b18b w/ b16a2 vtec head? which one is a better swap?
a friend told me to get a b18b w/b16a2 because once it is done...it would be much faster than the GSR. is this true?

it wouldnt last much longer, unless you spent a lot more money piecing together the LS/VTEC.
if you just got an LS block, and slapped on a B16 head, you can expect that motor to blow pretty quick.
GSR>LS/VTEC unless your into having your motors for a couple months tops. nothing beats an OEM setup
bottom line, LS/VTEC works, but you gotta do it RIGHT. and most people dont.
but yea, generally the LS/VTEc setup is faster than a stock GSR setup
oh, and before i forget

Honestly I have had the ls-vtec (b18b with b16a2 head as you called it) and I have ridden in a hatch with a GSR and both are close to the same as far a speed is concerned. The ls-vtec has a bit more torque but is not as reliable. If you have a good price for the GSR get it. Although both are good motors.

You can do LS/VTEC...its just a little more involved than slapping a head on. Read this: http://www.c-speedracing.com/h...c.php
Then decide between a straight swap or LS/VTEC
