Default Ground Question???

I plan on cleaning up my discusting engine bay this weekend and wanted to know if its safe to relocate the ground on the valve cover to the rear? ( A to B )

that would not be a good ground source, you should use the same bolt its on but in stead bolt the cable on the back. (B) has no contact with the cylinder head but bolt (A) does I hope you understand me.

yes i know, the spot that was circled B was poorly discribed i want to ground it there but with the valvecover end closer inward not the end that overhangs the timing belt. i guess my biggest concern would be crossing multiple grounds but i dont think thats an issue in this case

I was thinking about grounding the valve cover to the block that would make a good source of ground and would look clean. Then again you might have to ground the block so you dont run into issues. an extra ground can hurt.

on my gsr im going to ground the vc on the back side to the block. then ground the back of the block to the car. That should work, and look clean. Im going to wait untill it gets warm here to do a wire tuck and run a ground of the harness to the vc. know thats cooler then Flava Flave
