Personally, I think that labor would charge a grip for it. Then again, if you have a cousin who knows how to do it...it would probably save u a ton...this is of course if he "knows" how to do it.

Definately Syncroz suppppper common wit hondas

i say for the $ u spend on replacing them.. unless its just 3rd n forth ( they usually come in a set ) u might as well buy a used tranny

i got the exact same clutch/flywheel in a GSR tranny and get the same thing only goin to third gear...
ive been told try synchromesh fluid first, the GM brand was recomended as the best by someone i know whos tried diff kinds.
unfourtunatley i havent tried it yet so i cant give you a definite thumbs up on it, but i plan on pickin up some... deff worth a try before tearin down a transmission

same thing happened to me **** started grinding on top of third and then replaced the fluid with GM syncromesh and it doesn't happen anymore but if it still does then you need new syncro's or just replace tranny

advance auto used to have it when i worked there a couple years back. i don't remember the exact price, but it wasn't much. Last time i saw it they had moved it over with the transmission rebuild kits and b&m shifter fluid, so it may not be with the normal tranny fluid.

synchromesh = waste of time

you need #3 and #7

#3 = 23440-P21-000 GEAR, MAINSHAFT THIRD $123.73
#7 = 23623-P21-315 SLEEVE SET, SYNCHRONIZER (3-4) $162.83

Once trans is off of car:
90min job if you know what you're doing
180min job if you're a virgin
2 week job if you're like most dolts on here

why do you say its a waste of time? you dont think that i should try synchromesh to try to hold me over until i save up enough money to get maybe a type r with lsd. eventually when i sell my bike im going to go boost idk what to do. like i said my cousin can do it but i dont know if i want to wasnt the time/ money if its just going to be replaced.

its hardley a waste of time to try something that could work and is pretty inexpensive...
and as far as where to get it, i would assume GM dealership serviceshops keep it in stock

That's the thing. It doesn't work. yeah, you could buy an ITR trans, but who's to say that it won't grind in 1 month?

Try selling your b16 trans w/ a 3rd gear grind. you won't get much for it.

Or you could get a used ITR LSD and replace your damaged parts for less money.
