Grinding, Need Help.
I have a 96 HX ever since I bought the car I found that if I shift quick from 1st to 2nd when I'm above 5,500 Rpms My tranny grinds. It goes into gear fine but it grind on its way to second gear. What could be causing this to happen. I know its not me, beacuse I had a couple of friends drive the car and the samething happened. The car has 52k Miles on it if that matters.
Thanks

Re: Grinding, Need Help. (Red Rocket)
If your tranny messing up with that low a miles on it, someone probably learned to drive their first stick on it and hurt it bad. I did that to my dad's manaul when I learned to drive off it. He had to get a new clutch and tranny 6 months lata.
Although his was a 1500 chevy pickup.

I took it to a mechanic and he said the sychros are not the problem, he drove the car and said that im not pressing the clutch all the way in before shifting, and also my clutch and my throwout bearings are bad.
