Grinding Clutch :(
Anyone know how bad grinding the cutch just a little bit actually is ? I just got a brand new 2002 Civic SI and a few times by accident I slipped and grinded the clutch a little but pushed it back in quicky. How bad i this for a car? The car has only 3,000 miles on it, should I start looking for a new clutch now? or do some sort of maintnance???

Re: Grinding Clutch :( (bass)
you shouldnt need to get a new clutch yet, i think that theyre supposed to last for like 10k if u just drive it normal. grinding it a few times isnt that bad for it. if it starts to stick or ur rpms are raising up a whole lot faster than ur speed, then u should maybe start worrying about getting a new clutch. is the clutch pedal flush w/the brake pedal? u should be able to push it in about half an inch or so and then there will start to be a little pressure and when that happens it should be flush w/the brake.

Re: Grinding Clutch :( (FLAMENCOVTEC)
You talking about your gears grinding....becuase if your clutch is grinding then you have something really wrong....
my stock clutch on my stock 93 civic ex clutch lasted 50 or 60k.....so 10k if you plan on slipping your clutch whenever you drive...or you just totally suck at driving...
drive the **** out of it and then you'll know when you clutch is bad...
